Mattress Salesman

Good evening,

Just a quick warning to look out for yourself and neighbours, especially anyone elderly or vulnerable.

We have received a report that a male in a large white van has approached a resident on Twynybedw Rd at 11am this morning offering to sell them an orthopaedic mattress directly from the rear of the van. The male has not got a sale and has been sent on his way. 

Do not purchase goods from street or door to door sellers operating from vehicles. Reputable retailers do not sell mattresses directly on the street.

These items are often counterfeit, poorly manufactured, or used goods repackaged to look brand new, crucially, items sold in this manner frequently fail to meet UK Fire Safety Regulations, posing a serious risk to your household.

Do not invite traders into your home or hand over any cash or financial details.
